after the roar of the shhh had died away the Grand Union Connection kicked off the first featured slot of the year yesterday with "900" as the Bailey led the way with the Barbara Dane tempo...

**the half hour featured slot gave the connection boys got the chance to delve deeper into their catalogue and play the Bessie Smith classic "Nobody Knows You"alongside Mikes hometown anthem "Black Middens" before the sound of the Merlin closed the set to the thud of "Fire In The Sun"++

Grand Union Connection are very much looking forward to getting back together with the W7 Edge players in Hanwell next week and sharing a few new songs...
